Natural Roofing Slates

We are a specialist in new natural roofing slate and have over 70 years experience in this field. The range of natural slates we continue to offer is still the most varied and comprehensive in the UK.

Ensor Blue/Grey & Heather Blue natural Welsh slates are sourced from the world famous quarries in the Blaenau Ffestiniog and Bangor areas of North Wales. Ensor natural Cumbrian Blue/Grey and Westmorland Green slates are sourced from renowned Burlington group of quarries in the Lake District. In addition, Ensor also import quality slates from the America's, Spain and France.

Ensor Building Products are the sole supplier of Sobrano Spanish slates, which we have imported since the mid 1970's. Sobrano slates are extremely attractive in appearance, are durable and meet the requirements of BS 680.

A complete range of sizes, grades & thicknesses of all our natural slates are available, which include slate and halfs, doubles and eaves slates.

Warranties: Where given apply providing slates are fixed in accordance with relevant Code of Practice for Slating & Tiling BS5534 and excludes natural weathering and aging in appearance.

Disclaimer: Slate is a natural product and therefore subject to natural variations in colour, shading & texture. Slate samples are taken from crates of slates in our stock at the time. Whilst representative of the batch of slates from which they are taken, samples cannot be relied upon to be exact match in view of it being a natural material. Over a period of time all slates weather to a greater or lesser degree. Some slates can occasionally be subject to accelerated weathering and of uneven appearance though this does not affect their functionality or any performance warranty given.
